About Klipspringer Trail
A moderate to difficult hiking route, the Klipspringer Trail takes you on a 3 day hike through the Augrabies Falls National Park.
Each day is roughly 13 km long, and will take about 6½ hours to complete. The trail starts at a rest camp that must be booked previously. Hikers will relish the incredible views and the natural beauty of the area.
Overnight accommodation is rustic, comprising bunk beds, mattresses and flush toilets. Braai facilities and wood are supplied.
The trail is semi-arid, rugged and demands a fair degree of fitness.
Note that the trail is closed from the 15 October to the 31st March every year, due to the extreme heat in the area.
