Umdloti Beach

Located on the mouth of the Mdloti River, north of Durban, Umdloti Beach is a rather small town which enjoys a healthy amount of visitors during the seasonal holiday periods. For the most part Umdloti Beach is a peaceful place, but not too far away you'll find plenty of excitement in Umhlanga and Durban. Umdloti is famous for its' dolphins which come very close to the shore in the early mornings from July to November. Whales are also a popular sighting among the waves. With regards to the climate, it is needless to mention the warm temperatures throughout the year, thanks to the warm waters of the Indian Ocean which graces it's shoreline. Umdloti Beach is a great place to enjoy these marvelous waters, including the natural rock pool.
