Stunning countryside and Plenty to do in surrounding area.
We recently spent 5 nights over Christmas in the Underberg area. We stayed at Meadow Lane Country Cottages which I would HIGHLY recommend. Underberg as a town is nothing special, has the basic necessities - fuel and food. However, the surrounding area is packed with activities.We did/explored the following:1. Sani Pass - 50km's away - MUST do IF you drive a 4x4, don't be fooled. It is only tarred on the Lesotho side.2. Reichenau Mission - STUNNING 1800's church 15km's outside of Underberg towards Pietermaritzburg. May have to knock on one or two doors to find the Father to open up if you don't... see more
