About Hampton Court Palace

Situated in Richmond upon Thames is Hampton Court Palace, one of many extraordinary palaces owned by King Henry VIII. An ambitious upgrade by King William III intended to rival the palace at Versailles but was stopped before completion, leaving the palace in two diverse architectural styles, Tudor and Baroque. Today the palace is a major tourist attraction and is easily accessed by train from Waterloo Station.
