Terms and Conditions
In Order to make your stay as pleasant as possible, the Management requests your co-operation in observing the following as an agreement between the guest and 120 At Klerck Guest House under which rooms are permitted to be used by the guest(s):-
Settlement of Bills
Bills must be settled on presentation or on the day before departure. NO personal cheques will be accepted. Extras are for the guest`s own account except by prior arrangements. Please take note that all extras are to be settled in CASH/CARD.
Check in time for the guests of "120 At Klerck" is from 14H00 ti. In case that the rooms are prepared prior this time, guests may enter the suite before 14H00 hours. Upon arrival at the reception desk guests are to sign and submit the registration form before they are given the suite key. Upon entering the suite guests are required to inspect and to report possible failures and damages on the installations and the equipment or shortages in regard to the enclosed inventory list.
Check out time is 10h00. Please inform the reception if you wish to retain your room beyond this time. Extension will be given depending on availability. If the room is available, normal tariff will be charged. On failure of the guest to vacate the room on expiry time, date or period, the management shall have the right to remove the guest and his/her belongings from the room occupied by the guest. Guests are required to report any damage that had occurred during their time of stay in the suite, as well as any failures or shortages on the installations and the equipment.
Breakfast & Dinner
Breakfast and dinner is served in the dinning room area, or weather permitting, on the patio. Breakfast is served from 07h00 to 09h00 and dinner is served from 17H00 to 19H00. If you require a different timing please advise us on arrival.
Number of Guests
At no time during your occupancy will the number of guests staying, exceed the number of guests booked, unless prior approval is sought and given by management.
Please do not use flammables for heating, cooking or the like, irons, candles, etc, in the guest room or corridors without the consent of the Management. Cooking in the rooms is not allowed and no eating in beds. Please do not use guest rooms for business activities or for any purposes other than accommodation use, without the consent of the Management. No cigarette buds, cotton buds, tampons, sanitary pads or any other material, other than toilet paper may be flushed down the toilet. Towels are only to be used for drying after showers/baths and not for cleaning off makeup, shoes or any other objects.
Smoking in rooms is prohibited. Breaking this rule is punishable by law. Smoking is permitted at the designated smoking areas outside the house, please use the ashtrays placed in the Smoking area.
Domestic animals are not allowed into the premises, only in exceptional cases.
Security & Safety
Although the guesthouse management takes responsible steps to ensure the safety and security of all guests and their possessions, guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security. Guests enter the premises at own risk. One secure Parking is available free of charge for each guest room. Parking anywhere else than the assigned parking space is not allowed. Do not leave any valuables inside your car while it is parked. 120 At Klerck Guest House cannot accept responsibility for the loss or theft of any such articles while your car is parked. Please ensure that the security gate close properly behind you when leaving the premises. Keep rooms locked at all times when absent. Keep children away from the braai area. Consider a one meter “kid-free zone” around the fire and never leave the braai unattended once it has been lit.
Managements Rights
It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/ her in a respectable manner and will not cause any disturbance or annoyance within the guest house premises. Guests are required to oblige by the house rules and regulations to respect the privacy of other guests. Avoid making noise or disturbing the other house guests, musical instruments, radios, televisions, stereos, and/or any other source of amplified sound shall be played at a volume that shall not disturb or annoy other guests we shall pay particular attention to limiting noise between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m., we also request the guests to restrain from making any noise outside the building, in the courtyard or directly in front of the building. If we receive complaints, you will be given a warning. Further complaints are subject to the termination of stay. We reserve the right to end a reservation if a guest becomes a disturbance/nuisance to others including management. In case of the default the Management has the right to remove the guest`s luggage and belongings from the room occupied by him / her.
Guest Liabilities
We will hold guests responsible for any damage or loss caused to our property by their acts or omissions, default, accident or neglect. By booking with us guests agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand an amount reasonably required to make good or to rectify such damage or loss caused by them. The cost for replacement of lost room keys or damaged locks is applicable and a total amount of R 500 for lost keys and/or lock replacement to be paid immediately. Charges will occur for any toilet blockage by obscure objects and for dry cleaning of unusual staining on towels and bed linins caused by misuse. Normal wear and tear is excluded. Please report any accidents or incidents to the guest house management in connection with any property damage.
General incapacity
120 At Klerck Guest House cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents the guest house from fulfilling its obligation to guests. However, the guest house will take necessary steps to minimize disruption and discomfort to guests under these conditions:
* Unanticipated interruption to electricity, water, sewage to and from the guest house;
* Industrial actions, civil uprising or criminal activity;
* Fire, frost, flooding, wind or any other force major event.
There will be no refunds for early departures, for breakdowns of fans, heater, appliances, etc, if said breakdown is due to weather and /or other conditions over which the house owner has no control.
Environmental Policy
The owners of 120 At Klerck Guest House are dedicated to the protection of our planets resources and would encourage our guests to help us by:
* Switching off lights when not in use;
* Ensuring that taps are always turned off after use;
* Avoiding the unnecessary use of towels – just use what you need!;
* We will sort the recyclable rubbish collected from guest rooms i.e. paper, plastic, metals and glass;
