About Asher Riverside Cottage

Asher Riverside Cottage’s started as a far-off dream in 2003 and the first cottage was completed by the end of July 2004. By 2007, we had a total of four cottages, all very private and located on the river. Asher Riverside Cottage’s offers private self-catering cottages, beautifully situated just outside of Bonnievale amongst the vineyards on the bank of the Breede River overlooking the Langeberg mountains. Relax on your patio, put your feet up and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

The cottages each sleep up to eight guests and contain a large lounge with fireplace and TV, a fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, two bedrooms, and an open loft. Linen and bath towels are provided, but guests are asked to bring their own swimming towels. The cottages also feature a large patio with barbecue facilities, and canoes are available for use on the river and fishing.

Lovely spacious and equipped in a stunning position right on the river. Furnishings and equipment a little old but linen is clean and good quality and the house has everything you need. The big stoep is delightful and we would love to stay again.

We spent 3 nights at the Asher Riverside Cottage number 2. It was absolute bliss. It is extremely quiet, private and relaxing. The only sounds you'll hear is the birds and the river. We really enjoyed our stay. However, I would like to mention that the establishment should make a point of mentioning the "bundu bashing" you need to do in order to get to the river. You can swim in the river but to get to the water is rather tricky. We took our 80+ grandmother with and thought she would also be able to swim in the river but she couldn't get anywhere near the water. There is no direct path to the...
