Gum Tree Glen is a hidden gem! Set on a hill overlooking green pastures filled with cows and far-off forests, the accommodation is perfect for experiencing the dual sunny and misty nature of the Midlands. The sunsets are stunning, too. Onwards with the accommodation: the open-plan room is cosy and homely, with interesting books piled around and interesting art. There is a sleeper couch, which was my daughter's favourite of the rooms. DStv is available with a good quality television to watch it on. The kitchen is small but filled with everything you need, including fresh eggs and milk, and...

Really friendly welcome from Peta and her family. When we opened the fridge, there was a fresh bread, liter of milk and some butter. On the counter there was some Rusks. A day or so later we received a half dozen of eggs. Those small touches made the stay even better.

Nice place to relax with afternoon sundowners watching the nearby farmers baling hay.

What a lovely quaint cottage tucked in the hills. It's very homely with all the amneties required and even stocked with milk, bread, rusks, eggs, butter, tea, coffee, sugar and sherry. It's very private and has the most amazing views. Being Mt bikers, we appreciated being 10km from Karkloof trails.

We stayed in Wrinkly Tin Cottage at Gum Tree Glen and was SO IMPRESSED with the beautiful cottage! Heaters in every room, friendly (& quick) response on enquiries, spoiled with added extras in fridge& with coffee station, the most breathtaking view for a photoshoot (with and without mist) - to our kids’ chagrin - all helped to make this pitstop one our whole family will remember.
