About Jembisa Lodge

Jembisa is situated within its own private game reserve in the heart of the beautiful Waterberg plateau, 3 hours north of Johannesburg. It is a totally spoiling safari destination – a luxury country house safari lodge – with delicious food, great comfort, massages and a wide variety of game-viewing and wildlife activities.
Jembisa can be taken on an exclusive use or non exclusive use option, allowing for groups of all sizes to make use of the lodge and the reserve. Children are welcome and can be looked after and entertained, allowing parents some time for themselves.
Guests can be as active as they wish or may choose to relax with a cooling swim in the saltwater pool after a game drive or enjoy a game of tennis following a bushwalk. There are 5 en-suite bedrooms plus a children’s bunk room. Jembisa is the perfect bush retreat and easily accessible from Johannesburg and Pretoria.

Please note that 4x4 in not necessary to navigate the roads but a vehicle with high clearance would be recommended.

Safari: The safari adventure offering is flexible, tailor made with many safari activities on offer to suit all ages. The safari experience is timeless with an extraordinary level of service and attention to detail.

Wedding Venues: Jembisa and its sister lode Magari lend themselves perfectly as a romantic safari destination wedding venue. Weddings of any size can be arranged up to a maximum of 45 guests, who would be accommodated across the two lodges and our bush camps.

Family friendly: We are perfectly suited for family safari's, allowing all ages on our safari activities. We have a special children's bunk room, as well as a play room located with in the lodge for the kids to enjoy.

Covid Safety Approved: We pledge to implement a high standard of hygiene and cleaning protocols to ensure the safest environment possible for our guests. We adhere to the industry safety protocols set out by the Tourism Business Council of South Africa (TBCSA).

Guided Safaris: At Jembisa Bush Home all safari activities on the property are included in the rate - guided game drives, walks, mountain biking and fishing.

Family Safaris: The safari adventure offering is flexible, tailor made with many safari activities on offer to suit all ages. It is perfect for families, multi-generational groups and small groups of friends.
