Located a 30-minute drive from George Airport and right in the heart of the Garden Route, Nyaru Game Lodge is the perfect Mossel Bay accommodation for guests travelling the Western Cape looking for adventure. This South African 3 Star lodge is also a great destination spot for guests on their way to or from Cape Town which is 3 hours away.

Nyaru Game Lodge caters for guests who want to see the beauty and natural wonders of South Africa from a first-hand point of view. This Mossel Bay accommodation offers tours which will introduce you to 17 different species of game and wildlife including giraffe, rhino, zebra, blue wildebeest, the rare black impala and much more.

Surrounded by beaches and green Outeniqua Mountains, this secluded lodge offers an outdoor pool, a restaurant, quad bike safaris, game drives and helicopter flips. Sundowner and sunset picnics can also be arranged by the staff.

Thatched chalet accommodation is right in the middle of the reserve and consists of self-catering or fully catered chalets. Private patios with mountain or pool views are featured in all chalets. Each is decorated with rich fabrics and has safari-themed decor. En-suite bathrooms and private barbecue facilities are included in all chalets.

Traditional South African meals are prepared and Nyaru invites their guests to sip their drinks on the deck while relaxing to the sound and sight of the wildlife and bush, before either moving inside for their meal or being served on the deck area around a crackling fire. As the open fire and companionship draw you closer, you’ll realize that the important things in life are priceless.

Friendly upon arrival. Accommodation cramped. Game drive and guide were fantastic. No big five animals, but lovely experience and saw buck, giraffe and other little animals. Restaurant service poor and food was mediocre.

We spent an amazing few days at Nyaru Game Lodge. The tranquil surroundings inspires a sense of relaxation and a feeling that you're all alone in the bush (even though the town is a short 10 minute drive away). Food was delicious and there's no better way to wind down after an awesome day than to relax on the deck with a cocktail and nature.Hosts were so attentive and the chalets were lovely. Definitely a great stay!
