White Elephant Bush Camp & Umkhaya Cottage is located in the Pongola Game Reserve in the northern part of Zululand near the Swaziland border.UmKhaya is a private thatched cottage that sleeps, 6 guests (4 Adults and 2 Children). It has two bedrooms, one of which has a double bed and the other two single beds and a double bunk bed. There are also two bathrooms, an open-plan kitchen and lounge area, a large patio and a outside braai area. It's walking distance from White Elephant Bush Camp. This cottage can be booked separately or as part of the Bush Camp.We offer game dri
Being in a reserve next to Lake Jozini offers spectacular scenery and enables us to offer river cruises and fishing and land safaris like game drives and walks. The river safari is like a game drive on the water, with views of crocodiles and hippos.
UmKhaya Cottage is a very comfortable little cottage in the bush fenced in within a bigger area and it has no stairs. The Cottage is deemed child friendly
We have an Essential services certificate to be able to host essential workers and safety and cleaning protocols are in place. Temperature measurement and a questionnaire required before check in. We require permits and Identity document copies.

White Elephant is the only destination in South Africa to offer Kariba-like, water-based safari activities as well as the traditional land-based activities. This sets us apart from other safari destinations. We are passionate about conservation and offer a superb Black Rhino tracking experience (with an excellent chance of viewing Black Rhino on foot), as well as fascinating Elephant research activities. We also offer conventional activities such as game drives, educational bush walks and incredible boat cruises on Lake Jozini. These varied activities as well as the chance of catching tiger fish and superb bird watching possibilities, make us a truly unique South African Safari experience.

Note: the property is strictly self-catering, all food and beverages must be brought before arrival, as the closest shop is 50 kilometres away and we do not have a restaurant on the premises.

100% required of booking is less than 6 weeks prior to arrival date
