The whole cottage is available to guests and has a lovely verandah looks over to the beautiful mountains in the distance. The lounge is spacious and has a lovely fireplace. There is a dining room with an oak dining table and chairs. Off the dining room is a large kitchen with scullery. The Smeg gas stove has 5 plates and spacious oven. Fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine are available for guests.

The first bedroom has a ueen bed and the second bedroom has two 3/4 beds. The shared bathroom has a bath with fixed shower, basin and toilet. A second toilet is in a separate room.

The hot water is load- shedding proof. A donkey boiler with storage tank provides hot water for the bathroom and kitchen. There is a house keeper that will wash the dishes, clean the kitchen and bathrooms and a team that will look after the fire that heats the donkey boiler. They will supply the wood for the indoor fireplace and the outside braai.

Within 500m of the cottage you see and hear forest birds found in the Woodbush. Birdwatchers are in for a treat as the gardens are visited by Knysna Turaco, Double-collared Sunbird, Chorister robin - chat, Cinnamon dove, Rameron Pigeon, Red eyed dove and more. There are the rare species such as Samango monkey, duiker and bushbuck.
